Having a newborn at home is crazy! I've been there, I get it. But documenting those new little moments really is priceless. Those teenie toes, those squishy legs and those gassy smiles! And equally important is documenting the totally normal, not so glamorous moments as well - the adorable awkwardness of a sink bath, baby burps, sofa snuggles...believe me, those are the foggy memories you'll be happy to have to look back on later.
Sound overwhelming? Don't worry! It's my goal to make this as stress free as possible! I will come to you and all we will do is take photos of you doing what you do - being a parent. You will receive a prep guide full of helpful tips about how to prepare your family and your home, and don't worry, no cleaning service or hair and makeup are required! The real moments will mean more down the road.
This style of session is also perfect for "older" newborns, as they don't require much posing and a more alert baby can make for more engaging photos, capturing connection between the two of you. I recommend anywhere from one to 6 weeks. Sessions typically last 2-4 hours, leaving time for feedings and changes. If baby has siblings (even furry ones) I'm more than happy to include them!
POSES
If you just love those little sweet little newborn poses as well, I'm with you! I always bring along a few props and wraps. We will discuss your ideas in advance so I know what shots are most important to you. We also discuss details like color schemes and style and talk about what you hope to do with your images in the end - for instance nursery art, a family portrait or a beautiful baby album.
Something to note is that the younger the baby the easier they are to pose. Although we won't be attempting anything too ambitious like we might in a studio, a baby under 10 days will be much sleepier - so if you're looking for a pose-heavy gallery keep in mind your baby's age and please let me know when we speak. If you think you missed the window, there are still a number of achievable poses for "older" newborns too.

IS THIS IN THE STUDIO OR ON LOCATION? It depends on your choice of session. We can use the studio (as well as some outdoor space), your place of work, your home or we can rent a professional lifestyle space!
HOW MANY OUTFITS DO I NEED? This will all depend on the type of session you choose, but typically anywhere from 3-8 will be used. You will receive tips and personalized advice prior to your session.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I BUDGET FOR MY PHOTOS? You're overall investment will depend on how many photos your need and love! During our preliminary meetings we will discuss your needs and the type of session that will work best for you. Mini sessions begin at $590 and include pro hair and make up! Custom sessions begin at $1490+
I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO LOSE A FEW POUNDS The most profound expression of self-love you can give yourself is opting to embrace and appreciate who you are at this very moment. We strongly advise selecting today as the ideal moment to schedule your session, without postponing until you reach a specific weight goal. We will listen to any concerns you have and will use posing and retouching to address any requests.
WHAT IS THE MAGAZINE? The magazine-style book is a beautiful printed magazine which will include the stories and selected photos of all of the women in the campaign. Reading through each others stories is so inspiring and seeing your images in print is truly special!
